TexasTeachersVote was created by the Texas Classroom Teachers Association in 2006 to help educators become more informed and more active in the political process at the state level at a time when education policy decisions in the Texas Legislature were at a turning point. The 2006 elections demonstrated the power that educators can wield when united, and we believe that the results of the 2012 elections can have a positive impact on education policy in the Texas House and Senate.

The 2012 elections are of particular importance, and educators united in voting for teacher-friendly candidates can make a bigger difference than ever.
